LANXESS improves profitability LANXESS in India registered a good overall Sales growth of almost 20%.
The EBITDA also showed mid double digit growth, backed by impressive sales in business segments Engineering Thermoplastics and Performance Rubber. The topline of LANXESS India Private Limited registered good growth, however the Rubber Chemicals business was under price pressure due to competition. The outlook, though, looks positive for the second half of the year.

In Fiscal 2006 the German based chemical company LANXESS recorded a double-digit sales growth in India to EUR 185.5 million (adjusted for portfolio changes). The Rubber Chemicals business unit of the LANXESS chemicals group is expanding its product portfolio. The antioxidant Vulkanox® HS HPG (High Purity Grade) is a new specialty for the rubber sector. Vulkanox® HPG is characterized by a particularly low content of primary amines. This has a particularly favorable effect on both the vulcanization behavior of the rubber compound and the stability of insoluble sulfur. The special oligomer ratio in Vulkanox® HS HPG optimizes its effect as an antioxidant.
